XEROX W130 NETWORK SCANNER WITH IMPRINTER
Enterprise document capture demands keep rising — and so do the prices of production scanners built to meet them. The Xerox W130 Scanner breaks that pattern. Pushing speeds to 130 pages per minute (270 ipm duplex) while maintaining the price-performance leadership Xerox is known for in the production scanning space, the W130 is the answer for financial services firms, law practices, healthcare organizations, and government agencies that need serious throughput without a punishing total cost of ownership.
The W130 is built on a current-state hardware platform engineered for sustained, high-volume environments. A motorized 500-sheet adjustable input tray, dual paper path — u-turn for standard documents, straight-through for thick stock and hard cards — and support for documents from hard cards to A3 and long-format pages up to 236 inches give operators the flexibility to handle virtually any document type that comes through the door. Award-winning reversing roller technology across a multi-motor paper path keeps misfeeds to a minimum, three ultrasonic sensors deliver full-width double-feed detection, and built-in staple detection prevents costly interruptions. A high-resolution color LCD surfaces up to 20 customizable OneTouch workflows, putting common scan jobs one button away.
Maintaining image quality at 130 ppm is an engineering challenge the W130 meets head-on. A dual-lamp LED lightbar delivers uniform, consistent illumination across every page, while Visioneer Acuity Intelligent Image Processing handles seven enhancement tasks directly in hardware — eliminating the bottlenecks that slow other production scanners. USB 3.1 Gen 1 moves data efficiently to the connected PC, where Acuity PC optimization distributes remaining processing across all available CPU cores and memory. The Visioneer Intelligent Software Platform — including OneTouch, Capture SE, Organizer AI, and a full OCR solution — completes the package.
Where the W130 takes a meaningful step beyond its predecessor is in connectivity and document authentication. Built-in network sharing via Visioneer VAST Network with TWAIN Direct enables multiple users to connect concurrently from any networked PC. A standard integrated imprinter adds characters, date/time stamps, and custom tags directly to scanned documents — a critical feature for records management, chain-of-custody workflows, and compliance-driven environments. An optional A3 flatbed attachment handles bound materials and specialty documents, and Xerox's proprietary Parallel Scanning technology allows multiple W130 units to scan simultaneously to a single PC, fundamentally reshaping the economics of ultra-high-volume production capture.
